Live 1:1 & pairs Olympiad preparation

Olympiad Preparation Online: Live Small Classes

For children who enjoy a challenge beyond the school syllabus

Olympiads and math contests test thinking, not memory. Questions look unfamiliar on purpose, and children do well when they have practised reasoning their way through new problems. Our small live Olympiad classes (1:1 or pairs) teach problem-solving strategies step by step and build speed and confidence with regular practice.

Olympiad subjects we teach

Every class is planned around your child's own syllabus, school pace and exam date.

  • Math Olympiad

Number sense, patterns, geometry, logical reasoning and multi-step word problems, for exams such as the International Mathematics Olympiad run for schools.

  • Science Olympiad

Application-based questions in physics, chemistry and biology, for exams such as the National Science Olympiad.

  • English Olympiad

Vocabulary, grammar, reading and spoken and written expression, for exams such as the International English Olympiad.

  • Math Kangaroo and similar contests

Puzzle-style problems that reward clever thinking, with practice on past-contest style questions.

  • Logical reasoning

Series, analogies, coding and decoding, mirror images and other reasoning question types that appear across Olympiads.

  • Higher-order problem solving

The harder final-section questions, where students learn to try an approach, check it and change course.

How our Olympiad preparation works

  1. 1

    Start with a diagnostic

The first classes find out exactly which Olympiad topics are secure and which are not, so no time is spent on what your child already knows.

  2. 2

Teach the concept, then the exam

Each weak topic is taught properly first. Only then do we move to exam-style questions, so marks come from understanding and not from memorised steps.

  3. 3

    Practise with real question styles

Students work through past-paper style questions, learn how marks are awarded, and practise writing answers the way examiners expect.

  4. 4

    Timed practice and review

Closer to the exam, classes include timed sections. Every mistake is reviewed and sorted: a gap in knowledge, a misread question, or a timing problem.

  5. 5

    Parents stay informed

After each class you can see what was covered and what comes next, so you always know how preparation is going.

FAQs

Olympiad tutoring: common questions

  • We prepare students for school-level Math, Science and English Olympiads and for contests such as Math Kangaroo. Tell us which exam your child is registered for and the teacher will plan around its pattern.

  • Children can start from Class 1. For young children, classes are playful and puzzle-based, and they become more exam-focused in higher classes.

  • It usually helps, because children learn to understand ideas deeply and to read questions carefully. The main benefit is stronger reasoning, which carries into every subject.

  • Most Olympiads are registered through schools, and some allow individual registration. Check the organiser's official website for dates and the registration process for your child's class.
